Thermae is very casual and informal. There is no cover charge to get in and you can come and go as many times as you like. Some guys, like me will show up in shorts and a T-shirt, while others will wear their best garments. Dress as you please. The girls will love you no matter what your attire.
It goes without saying that if you decide to hang out at Thermae, you must buy a drink, which will cost you next to nothing (I always just get a soda which is 40 baht or about a buck). Other than your drink, there are no hidden charges. Thermae is the poor man's hang out to pick up on Thai babes. For that reason, a lot of the more snobby Thai hookers refuse to come here. Good. Let them go elsewhere (usually they end up at the Nana disco, Angels. See below).
When you first enter, if you turn left immediately, you'll see the small bar. Order your drink, pay for it and then walk around and check out the women. If you are hungry, Thermae also has a menu selection, but I never found the food all that great (eat at the Nana coffee shop for the best in late night snacks). The scene is casual and the atmosphere is very kick back. You can sit anywhere you like or do what I do, just stand and walk around checking out the women. Nobody will give you an evil eye for walking around. On the contrary, you'll notice the girls extremely smiley and overly friendly. In fact, most likely, every single girl there will be eyeing you with delight as you scope things out. Sometimes a girl will lightly tap you to get your attention. Usually they are
the old and uglier ones. Ignore them, unless of course you find her interesting.

You'll find Thermae very tame and quiet, especially compared to the hustle and bustle at Patpong or even Nana. However, don't underestimate it's potential.
