All of the bars in Nana are lined up back-to-back and are walking distance from each other. Outside each bar will be a neon light naming the bar and a few door girls or boys whose job is to entice you to come inside. The atmosphere is much more relaxed here in Nana then in Patpong and there is little pressure for you to "Come inside, sir, have a look!" If you do decide to take a look, go ahead. There is no cover charge to enter any bar. You are free to check them all out and are not obligated to stay and drink, unless you take a seat or hang out long enough where the staff is beginning to wonder if you're planning on spending the night there.
Once you decide you wish to drink at a bar, grab a seat and the waitress will take your order. By the way, when you do enter any bar, a waitress or door girl will usually lead you to a seat. My advice is you don't go With them, rather you sit wherever you feel comfortable (i.e., where you'll get the best view of all the girls!). Once you do sit down, you must at that point order a drink. Local drinks (i.e., Singha beer, Coke, Soda, etc.) are very reasonably priced and will run you about 55 baht or $1.55 (depending on the exchange rate). If you wish to buy a dancer or waitress a drink, it will cost you about $1.60. The "bar fine" (i.e., the price you pay to the bar to take a girl back to your hotel with you) will cost you 500 baht $13. If you do take a girl out of the bar to have sex with you in your hotel, most girls will want a 1,000 to 3,000 baht tip ($25 to
$75). More on that subject later.

You are under no obligation to buy anyone a ladies drink or bar fine any girl. You are free to buy as many girls ladies drinks as you like and you can bar fine as many girls as you like. There is no problem in buying two girls a drink at the same time and bar fining two girls. In fact, if you always had the fantasy of fucking two girls at the same time (I once had three, but the bed got a bit crowded), this is the place. Go for it!
So which bars are the best in Nana? It depends on your taste in women. My favorites are G-Spot (located on the second floor), Rainbow (ground floor), Hollywood Rock (ground floor), and all the bars on the ground floor, right hand side as you enter the plaza.
