In order to see the full array of women in each bar, you really need to sit down and have at least one drink. Why? Because it usually takes a good five minutes or so for your eyes to get adjusted to the lights and crowds of women. Once you settle in, there will be so many girls on and off stage, it will take a while to get a good look at all of them. How many times I would first sit down in a bar and look around, only to discover after about five minutes some babe that just came out of the dressing room. If I had walked in and out without drinking, I would have missed her. So you really need to sit down in each and every bar to get a real look at who is available. With over 40 active bars, that could take a couple of weeks. Actually, more like a month.

Once you enter a bar (there is not cover charge in any bars), you will notice around the stage of dancers will be chairs for the customers to sit down on and enjoy the air conditioned atmosphere with tons of luscious women frolicking on stage. Should you decide to sit down at any bar, you must order a drink. If you decide this is not the place for you, don't sit down, just leave. The Thais will, short of putting a gun to your head, try to convince you to stay. Don't let them persuade you to hang out and drink at a bar you don't like. Move on. There's lots of women to see.

I think the management in most, if not all of the bars in Patpong, has brainwashed the door boys and girls into thinking that if a customer doesn't sit down and drink in their bar, it will mean they will suffer a horrible death. Hence, the Thais in Patpong are extremely aggressive in getting you to enter and order a drink in their bar. This is a turn off to me and produces the opposite effect of what they wish to accomplish. What will make me drink in any bar is a cluster of friendly and beautiful women dancing naked on stage, not some obnoxious door boy yelling louder than the next guy, "Pussy show! Fuck show! Come inside!" Give me a break.

Patpong is the most infamous and notorious red light district in Bangkok. It is here you will find all the wild sex shows. Besides the bustling night life, it also features a great night bizarre for shopping. Note the drink prices listed outside this one bar, almost double what you will pay in Soi Cowboy or at the Nana Entertainment Plaza.
