Nobody has forced any of these women to work in the bars nor are they in any way coerced into performing sexually with the customer. There are two cases we can make to show the high class prostitutes are not sex slaves but free to come and go as they please.

Probably the strongest evidence of this is the fact that occasionally a bar girl will refuse to go with a customer to his hotel (i.e., to have sex). Usually it's

because she already has an appointment with another foreigner who is paying more money than the first customer. Or perhaps she just likes this one customer and for the time being, doesn't want to have sex with anyone else. Or maybe she just isn't in the mood and won't go with anyone at all that night. Whatever the reason, the fact is she has chosen not to go and there is not a dark thing anyone can do about it (except try to offer her more money!).
