Women should be free to charge for sex and men should be free to pay for a service they enjoy. The real corruption stems not from police who either ignore the laws or profit from them, but from anti-sex groups who think they have the right to tell everyone else whom they can or cannot hop in bed with. As one radio announcer pointed out, "We pay for everything in life: shelter, food, clothing, entertainment, insurance, health, transportation ...why can't we pay for sex?" The
answer, "We can't pay for sex because some people think they have the right to control everyone else and tell them how to run their sex lives. Time for a change, don't you think?"
Actually, in the United States, we do pay for sex. If you rent or buy a porno video, you are paying for sex. If you buy a porno magazine, you are paying for sex. If you get on the phone and call one of those 900 phone sex lines, you are paying for sex. The only difference between paying for sex in the US. and Thailand is in the US. you pay to be a
spectator (i. e., to watch others have sex, such as when you pay to rent a
porno you can jack off to); in Thailand, you are a participator as you pay for sex itself with a real live person. Personally, I prefer the later.
