With this in mind, you may wonder why I still end up staying at the Crown. The Crown is the one of the few hotels that has mirrors on the ceiling and along side the bed. By the way, if you do stay at the Crown hotel, try to get a room with the new air cons. Although they started to put in new air conditioners in many of the rooms, some of the rooms still have the noisy and inadequate old style air cons. You'll know it when they turn the air con on and it hums like a truck. If you get a room with the old style air con and it's noisy, just tell the front desk and they'll be happy to change rooms for you.

RESTAURANTS

Thai food is excellent. If the Thais are good at anything, I tell you, these guys know how to cook. Just about anywhere you eat, you will be eating like a king. Even the McDonald's in Bangkok seems to taste better than the one in the US. In Bangkok, you can find just about any kind of restaurant you want. How about Mexican? (TGI Fridays is located at the Ploenchit Plaza, a five minute walk from the Nana hotel. To get there, walk outside of the Nana, then turn left till you hit Sukhumvit road. There turn left again and just keep walking till you see the big sign, Ploenchit Plaza. It's just a few minutes walk).

How about Indian/Middle Eastern food? There are tons of Indian restaurants off

In terms of location and comfort, I recommend you stay at the Nana hotel in Bangkok. The 24 hour Nana Coffee Shop serves excellent Thai food and the disco, Angels, is just packed out with women every night. Across the street is the Nana Plaza, Bangkok's best place to meet girls.
