It was

Unlike the US where you may have one or two strip joints several miles from each other, in Thailand you can have up to twenty bars or more all lined up back-to-back, walking distance from each other. Here is a list of Go-Go bars in the main red light districts where tourists go. All these areas are well lit up and safe for you to visit. GLOSSARY OF TERMS AND PHRASES Go-Go bar A high class, air-conditioned bar that features Thai hookers who dance in sexy uniforms, sometimes topless and bottomless. A few bars also include a variety of lesbian shows and carnival sex acts (such as stuffing frogs, beer bottles and other object in their pussy). Live sexual intercourse between couples has pretty much disappeared in the Go-Go bars. General hours of operation: 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. (some bars are open in the afternoon). Be aware you must also give the girl a tip (usually 1,000 to 2,000 baht) after sex. Usually the bar girl only gets a small percentage of the bar fine (25%), so her real income comes from the tip you give her after sex. Buy cola for me will be heard by many bar girls who hope you will be willing to buy them a lady s drink. A lady s drink is a special drink the bar girl gets commission on. Typically a lady s drink cost about 85 baht or around $2. Most bars have a price list for lady s drinks posted on the walls. Ask the bar girl or waitress if you don t see a price list.
