I got in a cab and found the Halbart office a few miles away from the airport. I got there about 8:45 a.m. and still no one was in the office. About 9:15 a.m. some lady shows up and lets me into the Halbart courier office. I tell her my name and she looks on her desk and finds my return plane ticket sitting there. She told me there was a mix-up at the Los Angeles office and she says they told her not to give me my ticket.
I talked to the Halbart people in Los Angeles over the phone and asked them why they told the Halbart people not to give me my ticket.

They didn't have an answer for me and told me they would take care of it when I got back to L.A. After staying in Manila for three extra days to wait for the next available flight on Northwest, I finally got back home and had to pay an extra $150 for my return ticket, all because of the incompetence of Halbart Express Courier Company. Halbart refused to reimburse me and refused to return my phone calls and answer my letters I wrote to them.
I HOPE THAT EVERYONE READING THIS BOOK WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT USING HALBART EXPRESS COURIER COMPANY TO FLY ANYWHERE.
