She was tired of the bar scene in Angeles City and wanted to improve her "quality of life." She said most of her girlfriends' dream of meeting that one special guy that will take them back to their country and marry them. She also said there is little opportunity for women in the Philippines to get a good job and make decent money. HER big dream was to get married, have a family and get a good job so that she can help her husband, and also help her family by sending money to them when she could.

While Angeles City is one of the best places to meet tons of available women, at the same time is not a good place for your girlfriend to be living while you're making the necessary arrangements to bring her to the U.S. Temptations are high in that town for men and women to have wild and crazy fun with each other.

I suggested to her that she move to a place called Olongapo, which is about two hours from Angeles City. It's also very close to Subic City that is a town right on the ocean. A few of the reasons why I like Olongapo better than Angeles is because it's a lot cleaner and quieter and I find the people to be more friendlier there. Plus being close to the ocean made it even better. She was familiar with the town because she used to live there a long time ago when she once worked for this woman as a housekeeper. She was very excited to go to Olongapo and agreed that my choice for her to live there was better. The next morning Linda packed up all her things where she was living in Angeles, and both of us got on a
bus to go to Olongapo. I knew some people that lived in Olongapo that would help us find a nice place for Linda to live. As soon as we got to Olongapo City we had to take a Jeepney a few more miles out of town and checked into the Marmont Hotel in Barrio Barretto, a smaller town right outside of Olongapo. We unpacked a few of our bags and immediately went over to "Sky Travel" on National Highway in Barrio Barretto to visit with my friend Virgie.
