Why do we all slow up or stop on the highway when we see an accident? It's because we want to see mangled up dead bodies with people on stretchers covered up with white sheets. There's always someone getting killed, robbed, raped, or setting fire to themselves somewhere in the world, which always makes for a good news story. A display of someone else's misery is an opportunity for another to get a nice big paycheck, meaning every low-life news reporter on this planet. This IS the land of opportunity.
There was one news story that happened in California where a guy set his truck on fire on top of a freeway overpass, with his dog inside the truck. Then he took his shotgun and blew his brains out, all to be caught on film by every news station that was there. Viewers at home were able to see it live as it happened on their T.V.'s Thanks to ONE of the news stations all the children that were watching their cartoon shows were forced to see this horrible broadcast. That station interrupted their own cartoon programming to air this man, taking his own life in the most shocking and mentally disturbing manner possible.
In America, on regular T.V. channel stations, a show that has violence will always be aired, no matter who the audience is. After all, what's the harm? (No pun intended) But if a woman is appearing naked and her breast is being shown on some news program, right away the two little blue dots come out, (Unless it's Pamela Anderson's breasts, in which case they'll need two-big-fucking-dots) to cover her precious area.
