THE "60 MINUTES" Interview with ED BRADLEY, THE REAL STORY!
THE TAPING OF "R & R IN SOUTHEAST ASIA" JULY 1996

We arrived at the CBS Building in New York, promptly at 9:00 a.m. both dressed in impressive suits. (Mac went out the night before we left California and bought a $500 suit just for the occasion.)
John Hamlin greeted us as we walked into the 60 Minutes offices. He sat us down in the Sixty-Minute studio, which was a small room that reminded me of a very fancy office. It was the room you always see when they do quiet little interviews. There was a small T.V. next to Bradley that would later be used in the interview.
I sat off camera and watched both Ed Bradley and Mac perform the interview. It was really neat to watch, with all the cameramen, producers, directors, and sound guys all making this happen. I thought Ed Bradley was a little stuck up if you want my opinion. He kind of acts like his shit doesn't stink when you talk to him. But I'm sure it does.
The first 30 minutes of the interview seemed like a walk in the park. The questions Bradley asked were pretty easy. Mac appeared very relaxed and in total control of the situation. Then it came time to change tapes to another thirty-minute tape. They put the fresh tape in and the interview continued. It was at this time that the questions and insinuations got out of hand. Bradley started pounding on Mac, like a hammer on a nail. He started the new questioning by saying, "We wanted to find out what YOUR business was all about so we hired YOU to arrange a sex tour for 60 Minutes, did you know that? Mac answered, "No." Well, there was the start of bullshit question Number One.

Knowing that after they had made all the arrangements
with Gunter and using Gunter's guide while they were in Thailand, they had the audacity to lie to each and every one of you out there for the sake of their show.
