MY FIRST FILIPINA WIFE ARRIVES
IN AMERICA

It was mid July of 1996 when we finally started editing the videos. Mac and I sat in his video-recording studio in Santa Monica, California (his spare bedroom) for weeks, trying to come up with a format of how to make our videos. It was like trying to write a book for the first time, sitting in front of that damn typewriter trying to come up with the first line. Then after days of typing, the only thing you've accomplished is filling your trashcan with tons of crumpled paper.

We both racked our brains for a week, trying to think of the way we were going to make our videos. We had all this great footage but couldn't figure out how to piece it all together. I left Mac's apartment early one day and went home, leaving him to work on the videos by himself. It was about 11:30 p.m., and I was just falling asleep when the phone rings. I answered the phone and I hear, "Hey, it's me. I've got an idea on how we can make our videos, plus I've got music that goes perfectly with all the scenes." So I said, "Who is this?"
The next day we worked on the videos using Mac's idea. The idea was to use the same concept that was used to make the movie, "The Endless Summer." For those of you who have never seen the movie, it was about two guys who traveled around the world searching for the perfect wave. The movie has won awards and has become a classic ever since. We thought, if it worked for THOSE two bums it would work for Mac and I, two adventure-loving sex-crazed bums, in search for the perfect pussy. Some day I hope OUR movies will win awards and become classics. (But I think that will only happen after we're dead)
The tapes were a huge success. We sold thousands of them in a matter of months and are still selling like crazy. Most of my customers (we have over three thousand videotape and book buyers) have every Dexter-Horn videotape ever made. The guys collect them like stamps. Business was going well but my marriage was going down the tubes.
