Philippines Visit #2:
Choosing My First Wife

By the end of the week I decided to ask Rowena to marry me. I didn't even want to call the other two girls. It just felt right with Rowena and the way she and her family treated me. Besides, I couldn't bare the thought of leaving the Philippines again without a wife. That's what I came here for, to pick out a beautiful, young wife and have instant happiness; something I couldn't find back home.
Many of us are always looking for that instant happiness. All we want is to be happy right now. Forget the second, third and fourth dates. Just move in with her right after the first date. Have you ever done that? Move right in with some chick on the first date? How about asking some girl to marry you because you can't stand being single anymore? How about marrying a girl because she makes a lot of money, or she's a good lay, she's a good cook, or she has a really cute daughter? (Hey, it worked for Woody Allen)
My point is its not that easy to find the woman of your dreams, not in America that is. Don't settle for second best. SAY NO to those over forty divorcees that are hagged out, wacked out, wining bitches. Get married because you're really in love with the girl, not because your parents want grandkids, or you need an extra write-off on your taxes. Marry a girl that you just love being with, one who treats you with lots of love and affection
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, I was about to ask Rowena to marry me. After spending an entire week together, I proposed to Rowena and she accepted. But she told me I would have to ask her parents for her hand in marriage.
