After reading the opening report I thought I'd correct some basic misinformation on Sao Paulo. All in all the girls in Sao Paulo are prettier than anywhere else in Brazil (not just my opinion, 90% of those long timers i know agree). On the other hand it is more expensive than Rio, Recife or other cities.
The rua Augusta is the home of most of the widely known clubs, BigBen,Kiltz,scorpio and 4-5 others are within 2 block of the Brazilton hotel. Typically there is a small charge 15-30 reals to enter, which covers a drink (or two). The flavor of the clubs varies but all provide sex shows and plenty of willing companions. Most of the girls are available for about $200 reals for 2-3 hours, obviously they will start higher and ask for dollars vs real's...take your time and act based on your desires and the girls other possibilities. There is a short time hotel a block up from bigBens (across freeway from the rest) that charges $60 (US) this may or may not be better than "guest" charge from your hotel. If you go there DO NOT walk up and to right from kiltz go the long way via the rue Augusta...a couple more steps but much safer.
The Termas scene in Sao Paulo is a bust, I wouldn’t even bother. The escort services are pretty decent and should run about $200 reals again. Cafe Foto is an institution similar to help, the girls are prettier and more expensive with the range from $100 to $300 US for an overnighter...these are the same girls who show in Rio for carnival...and yes they charge the same or more when in Rio.
There is an upper tier in Sao Paulo, some is private some not. I've been a couple other places there as a guest that I can't really recollect clearly (brazil will do that to you). Personally I’m hooked on the Rio Termas but Sao Paulo is worth the trip. |

Not much going on in sao paulo, judging by this forum (and asp/usenet, yahoo groups and what other places I've been able to find) ...
C'mon guys, there must be some action in SP better than that run-down Rua Augusta area.

First time in Sao Paolo : an unpleasant business city. No problem to find night clubs full of girls. Just ask the taxi driver from your hotel. But honestly, no good experiences : girls are expensive and boring !!! They try to leave you as soon as possible, going back to the club to make an other client...

Hey Anon, don't completely write off Sao Paulo. I was surprised at how easy it was to pick up the local girls (non-working). There is a cluster of bars just a 10 minute walk from the Renaissance Hotel, that has a great ex-pat bar. I'm kicking myself as I can't remember the name (was last fall when I was there, and I never got the North/South thing figured out with no mountains to orientate myself to). But if you ask the concierge there they will steer you to it, as that is where I got the heads up. It's in an area of several restaurants and bars, with the occasional streetwalker (mostly TV's from what I could tell). But there were loads of hot local girls there looking to pick up ex-pats. It has a Western name, and is one of those places where you get a card upon entrance to kick track of your drinks... don't lose that card to avoid paying big bucks! Of course, it's a typical Latin place that doesn't start to fill up till after 11pm. I did notice that I only had luck when still wearing my work clothes (shirt & proper trousers). Funny how such a small thing can make such a big difference. In that bar, I was standing having a chuckle at a group of young studly Australian guys (wearing t-shirts & shorts) doing the crash & burn while hitting on a gaggle of local babes. A Belgian guy standing next to me started to laugh as well, and he & I ended up strolling in and picking up the young lovelies. Made my trip, seeing the looks on the faces of the Aussies as we strolled out with the girls (both he & I were at least 15 years older than both the girls & guys).
You could also try the lounge just up from the lobby in the Renaissance, there were some mindblowing babes in there. I was having too much fun playing the "free" field to check out their prices. G'luck man.

Sao Paulo is pretty good. I have some friends that live there and the recommend Cafe Foto and Francebel. They're usually $50 to $70 which is pretty good because of the exchange rate. |

I'm not a big fan of escort sites, but I would recommend hitting boates and picking up phone numbers of the girls you like. That way, you can avoid the hefty bar entrance fees the next time and just give the girl a call for 1 on 1 negotiation.
